Alumni Connections
Stay Connected: Celebrating Our Alumni Community
You may have walked into our classrooms yesterday, you may have walked in 30 years ago; regardless, the Campbellsville University Human Performance legacy - your legacy - lives on in the eager minds, passionate hearts, and determined spirits of our current students.
As alumni, there are multiple ways to step into the lives of current students. This can look like serving as a mentor, accepting interns, speaking in our classes, and so much more.
If pursuing an opportunity such as this is something you would be interested in, please reach out to Dr. Lauren Willis, Chair of Human Performance.
Upcoming Events
Human Performance Open House
In light of the new faces in the department and updates done to our facility, we are hosting an Open House during Homecoming this year. The Open House will take place on Friday, October 25th from 3-5pm in the Hawkins Athletic Complex. We encourage all to come out to reconnect with past faculty and students, meet our new faculty members, and tour the facility, including the most recent updates to classroom spaces and the Exercise Physiology Lab.
Homecoming Tent Festival
Before the Homecoming game on Saturday, October 26th we will be at the tent festival where multiple departments, organizations, and athletic teams on campus will be represented with games, food, and fun items you can take home with you. This will take place from 11:00am until the time the game begins.
Opportunities to Give
Human Performance (blackbaud.com)
In your generous giving, you are providing support for our students and the quality of education they receive. With the funds you provide, you will be able to see your contributions put to work. This can look like a classroom or hallway dedication to you or someone you would like to honor. Another opportunity is scholarships awarded to students who choose one of our programs in Human Performance. Along with these avenues of support, there are specific areas that could be advanced due to your contributions. To name a few, the Sports Medicine Area has added a new Exercise Physiology Lab for more hands-on experience for our students. Your giving will pave the way to enhance our lab and provide students with quality and innovative equipment that will create opportunities with real-world application of their schooling. Similarly, our Sport Management Area takes students each year to events such as the NFL Draft and to meet marketing teams from professional sport agencies for real-life experiences that enhance the knowledge they gain in the classroom. Additionally, your contributions to Human Performance are one of the sources we rely on for our Health and Physical Education students to travel and present at our annual KYSHAPE conferences. If investing in the lives of Human Performance students is something you are interested in, rest assured your contributions will certainly make an impact, not just for today, but for a long time to come.
