Would you like for students to be able to track their completion of the activities and assignments in your course? When activity completion is enabled, checkboxes will appear for students next to each course activity you select. Depending on your purpose or preference, students can check off those boxes when the activity is completed, or boxes will be automatically checked when the criteria you select are met.
When you select that the checkbox be ticked when certain criteria are met, you will need to set that up when you create the assignment in the Edit Settings area. Different types of activities may have different possible completion criteria. As the Moodle documentation page for activity completion notes, “a Page might have the requirement to require view; a Quiz might have the requirement to require grade while a Forum might have the requirement to require posts/discussions/replies.”
