Dr. Monica Hardin serves as Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs. In this position, Hardin provides leadership in curriculum development and provide guidance for CU’s faculty as they perform their duties.

Hardin brings nearly 20 years of higher education teaching and administrative experience to Campbellsville University. She began her career at Spring Arbor University in Michigan as an assistant professor of history.

Prior to coming to Campbellsville University, Hardin served at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark., in several roles – most notably as assistant to the President for innovation. At Ouachita, Hardin led the development of the infrastructure to re-launch graduate programs after a 25-year hiatus.

Hardin has also served at Longwood University in Virginia as Associate Director for Student Programs and Initiatives and at Liberty University as Director, Liberty University en Español, Department Chair for History and a history professor.

Hardin earned her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Ouachita Baptist University in 1998. She also holds a Master of Arts in History and Ph.D. in History, both from Florida State University.
