Juliana Moura is an Assistant professor of voice and Director of the Opera Workshop
at Campbellsville University. Brazilian Full Lyric Soprano born in Rio de Janeiro
Mrs. Moura holds a bachelor’s degree in Church music, a Master’s in Arts-Music-Voice,
from Campbellsville University, a Master’s in Music Vocal Performance, from the University
of Louisville, and is currently pursuing a DMA Vocal Performance at the University
of Kentucky.
Moura has sung opera roles such as Desdemona, Mimi, Dido, Michaela, Lauretta, First
Lady, and Countess, among others. She has collaborated with renowned conductors such
as Steven Crawford, Kelly Kuo, Bob Bernhard, Joseph Mechavich, Kimcherie Lloyd, and
Carol Nijes, and directors like Garnett Bruce, Thomson Smillie, Michael Ramach, and
Kristine McIntyre.
Juliana Moura has sung in master classes to Stephanie Blythe, Jake Heggie, Ben Moore,
Mathew Latha, and George Darden, and performed concerts and operas in Rome, Canada,
Brazil, China, and New York. She has also directed Musicals such as Sinatra’s My
Way, West Side Story, Newsies, 9 to 5, The Sound of Music, A Gentleman’s Guide to
Love and Murder, and others.
