Alex Adams
Alex Adams joined the Tiger soccer coaching staff in 2011 after completing his eligibility in the fall of 2010. A native of Georgetown, Ind., Adams was a four-year starter for the Tigers and served the final three seasons as a team captain. During his time with the Tigers, he helped lead Campbellsville to its three best seasons in program history. In 2014, the Tigers went 17-7 and finished fourth in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Tournament. In 2015, Adams helped lead the Tigers to their first-ever Mid-South Conference regular season championship and NAIA Championship victory. The Tigers advanced to the National Championship final site in Delray Beach, Fla. after defeating West Virginia Tech. In 2016, Adams was a part of the best season in program history. The Tigers won the MSC regular season and tournament title en route to breaking the NAIA’s longest unbeaten streak at 36 games (31-0-5). CU was upset in the NAIA Opening Round and competed in the NCCAA Championship. During his playing days, Adams was a three-time selection to the Mid-South Conference All-Conference Second Team. As a senior in 2010, he led CU to a 19-6 record and fifth-place in the NCCAA. Adams was a three-time recipient of the Campbellsville University Champion of Character Award, presented to one player from each CU sports program annually. He was named the Mid-South Conference Champion of Character in 2010. He was a MSC Academic All-Conference selection in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and was an NAIA Scholar Athlete in 2010. He graduated in May 2011 with a degree in business administration and then earned his MBA at Campbellsville University. He was married in the summer of 2015 to the former Chelsea Miller.
