Green River Ministries Homeless Shelter Scholarship Recipient
- A sophomore or upperclassmen in the School of Social Work, School of Theology, Department of Mass Communications, or College of Business may apply for this scholarship. Internship hours may be applicable pending approval by CU.
- Essay and application must be submitted to greenriverministries@gmail.com. Details on essay guidelines found on the application below.
- Students may apply each year.
- The Green River Ministries committee will review the essays, select the recipients, and notify the Financial Aid Office.
GRM Mission Statement:
Green River Ministries meets needs in our community by providing shelter to the homeless, promoting new ministries and assisting existing ministries through linking people and services together.
Expectations/Terms:
- I agree to conduct myself professionally and to treat this placement with the understanding that the placement represents not only a learning experience for me but also a possible career path.
- I recognize the importance of my performance in the placement experience and that I must perform well to ensure respect and recommendation for myself and for the program.
- I will be punctual, dependable, complete assignments in a timely manner and actively seek to assist my supervisor. I also understand that transportation to the placement site is the interns responsibility.
- I will present an appearance appropriate to the placement and strive to comply with any other applicable placement policies.
- I will strive to improve my professional skills in all areas, including, but not limited
to:
- research;
- data collection and management;
- written and oral communication;
- technology and equipment;
- and teamwork.
- I certify that I have my own personal health insurance, I agree to obtain health insurance via my parents, or I agree to purchase health insurance from a private company.
- I will strive to represent Campbellsville University professionally at all times and realize that the future success of placements in general may depend on my performance.
- I will keep supervisors apprised of my schedule and will notify them ASAP in the event that schedule conflicts occur.
- I will keep a timesheet and record of activity in the form of a daily log and in a format agreed to by the placement program coordinator.
