The Department of English at Campbellsville University provides programs of study for students who recognize the power of language and want to develop a mastery of English language and literature as insightful critical readers and competent scholarly and creative writers. 
 

Campbellsville University offers Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Arts degrees in English.  The English Department provides an area, major, and minor in English and offers certification for teaching English in grades 8-12 as well as an endorsement in middle-grades education.

The Department of English also provides components of the General Education Program (ENG 111: Freshman Composition I; ENG 112: Freshman Composition II; and ENG 210: Literary Studies) and two developmental courses (ENG 090: Writing Skills and ENG 110: Basic English).
