Program Overview:

Campbellsville University’s Phlebotomy Technician program prepares students to perform blood collection for medical tests, transfusions, and other healthcare purposes. Phlebotomists work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, blood donation centers, doctor's offices, and laboratories. Their responsibilities include drawing blood, properly labeling samples, entering patient information into health databases, and preparing medical instruments.

As many patients may only interact with the phlebotomist during their visit, it’s crucial for phlebotomists to provide a comfortable and calm environment. The program spans three to four months and includes 50 hours of classroom instruction and 100 hours of clinical experience, with a class size capped at 15 students for personalized attention.
