The Paramedic Program at Campbellsville University is offered at the Monroe Co. Education Center, providing hands-on training and access to state-of-the-art facilities. Students gain practical experience through clinical training in local healthcare settings, preparing them for a successful career in emergency medical services.

To join this elite program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Age and Education: Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED.
Licensure: Hold a current KY Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification and be in good standing with KBEMS.
Assessment Scores: Achieve minimum required scores on reading comprehension and mathematics assessments.
Health and Legal Clearances: Pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and provide proof of immunizations.
Physical Fitness: Meet the physical and mental health standards necessary to perform the duties of a paramedic.

Note: Campbellsville University does not offer any advanced placement. Students are enrolled as part of a cohort and are required to complete the courses consecutively, following the prescribed sequence. Additionally, CU does not accept transfer credits or credits for experiential learning. This policy ensures that all students receive the full, comprehensive education and training essential for success in the program.

As of May 2023, the median annual wage for paramedics was $53,180, with the top 10% earning more than $79,430. Factors such as experience, education, and geographic location can influence earning potential.
