CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Two of Campbellsville University's Art & Design students, Dalton Bennett, a junior of Campbellsville and Madison Daulton, a senior of Somerset, Ky., were accepted into a group exhibition titled “The Next Generation” at Kaviar Gallery in Louisville, Ky.
Only 24 artists from 14 high school and college students in Kentucky were accepted. Opening reception will be Friday, March 31 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. coinciding with the Louisville's FAT Friday Trolley Hop on Frankfort Avenue. The Trolley Hop is from 6 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. when riders can discover Louisville's most fabulous shopping, dining and entertainment in the historic Frankfort Avenue corridor.
The exhibition runs from March 31through April 29.
According to the Kavair Gallery's website, their thoughts about “The Next Generation” art show were, “Encouraging young artists is an investment in a future rich in culture. Through this show we hope to embolden the next generation of our budding Kentucky artists to continue and pursue their artistic practice. ‘The Next Generation' is a juried group show presenting artworks by student artists currently enrolled in Kentucky colleges or high schools in the following counties: Jefferson, Fayette, Jessamine, Warren, Taylor, Campbell, Oldham, and Marion.”
Bennett is the son of Edgar Bennett of Elizabethtown Ky., and Dawn Webster of Campbellsville Ky. Daulton is the daughter of Marvin and Melanie Daulton of Somerset Ky.

In December, Sarah Smith, a senior from Brownsville, Texas, was accepted into a group show at Tim Faulkner Gallery in Louisville titled “Deck the Walls” skateboard art show. She screenprinted on a (skateboard) deck.
