CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University has been seeking ways to spread the word about the Master of Art in Sport Management program to get it up and running. Tom Bell, associate professor of sport management, recently contacted the North American Society for Sport Management to add CU to the list of schools having sport management programs.
NASSM is the recognized authority on sport management around the world. The purpose of the Society is to promote, stimulate, and encourage study, research, scholarly writing, and professional development in the area of sport management.
The MASM program at Campbellsville University teaches in areas such as, Social, psychological and international foundations of sport management, Ethics in sport management, Sport Marketing & Communication, Finance/Accounting/Economics, Legal Aspects of sport and Integrative Experience. The MASM track prepares students for administrative positions in sports. It is a 51 hour program; 33 hours are core requirements while 18 hours are elective from Business, Human Performance and Mass Communications.
