CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Dr. Bill Langley, senior pastor of Severns Valley Baptist Church, Elizabethtown, Ky., will speak at Campbellsville University's chapel service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21 in Ransdell Chapel.
The public is invited to the free event.
Langley is serving Severns Valley where he, at the age of 8, trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior as a result of the ministries of Severns Valley Baptist Church. He grew up in the church he now pastors.
Langley has also served as senior pastor at First Baptist Church of Meridian, Okla., First Baptist Church of Mustang, Okla. and Harvest Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
Langley received his Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Kentucky. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, and he received a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University. His dissertation was titled: “A Focused Biblical Study of Spiritual Warfare and Its Implications for the Local Church.”
Langley has been married to Sheri Riley Langley since 1982. They have two children and have recently become grandparents.Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.
All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10).
