CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - President Michael V. Carter welcomed new and returning employees at a reception Friday, August 23 in Winters Dining Hall on the main campus, marking the start of the fall 2013-14 semester at Campbellsville University.
In his brief welcoming remarks, Carter asked for all employees to embrace each and every new and returning student moving into their residences during the weekend. Student population numbers expected this fall are in the range of 3,600.
Discussion among faculty, staff and coaches attending the reception included the recent economic impact study which showed that from its operations Campbellsville University contributes over $101 million in Taylor County and total local tax revenues.
Carter is pleased that in the face of many changes in higher education today, Campbellsville University accounts for over 1,453 jobs (457 direct and 801 indirect).
