Meador to speak at Campbellsville University’s chapel Sept. 22

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.—Stan Meador, team leader for the International Mission Board's South Brazil Team, will speak at Campbellsville University's Chapel at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 22, at Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, Ky.

According to its website, the purpose of the International Mission Board (IMB) is to “serve Southern Baptists in carrying out the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations​.”

In 1845, IMB was founded at the first Southern Baptist Convention as the Foreign Mission Board.

Meador has led the South Brazil Team for approximately a year. In that role, Meador supervises international church planters in the Southern Brazil states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná. He also oversees research, strategic planning, church revitalization, training, evangelism, discipleship and partnership development.

Previously, Meador served as an associate cluster leader with IMB, where he helped lead mission work in South America, Canada and Australia for nine years.

Meador also served as a journeyman with the IMB in Bulgaria. Before joining IMB, he was the minister of education and administration at First Baptist Church in Franklin, Ky.

Meador, of Chaplin, Ky., earned both a Master of Divinity in 2000 and a Master of Theology in 2017 from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. He also earned a bachelor's in business administration from Northeastern State University in 1992.

Meador and his wife, Wendy, have one daughter, Ariana “Ri” Brooke Meador, who is a sophomore at Campbellsville University. Wendy is a 1989 Campbellsville University alumna.
