CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University's Brockman Center staff in Hodgenville announced their first high school cohort starting in their cosmetology program Aug. 8.
The four female students are seniors at LaRue County High School and when they graduate they will be able to return to the program in Hodgenville to complete their certificate.
Now embarking on the 250-hour journey through the Hodgenville cosmetology program are Chloe Sandidge, Kaitlyn Knight, Nancy Aguilar Fernandez and Kelley Wissing.
“These students were over the moon as they went through their kits and got to know their instructor. You can tell by the big smiles on their faces,” Amanda Roop, director of the Campbellsville University School of Cosmetology, said.
“This high school program will help strengthen the Hodgenville location and boost enrollment for years to come,” Roop said.
All hours obtained now will roll over when they come back as full-time students. In addition, the high school has agreed to let these hours count as two high school credits.
“I expect a large enrollment for next year. Especially when these ladies help spread the word about the wonderful experience they are having,” Roop said.
