Carey is one of the foremost public policy advocates among evangelical
Christians,” Dr. John Chowning, vice president for church and external
relations and executive assistant to the president, said.
“He is actively engaged, on behalf of
evangelicals around the country, in the dialogue on a number of issues at the
national and international levels. Dr. Carey also interacts with many of the
top leaders in our nation's capital on a regular basis.”
Chowning said the university is “very pleased to
have Galen visiting our campus and community and know that he will do a
wonderful job in discussing the intersection of our Christian faith and
contemporary public policy issues.”
