Dolly Parton’s ‘9 to 5’ to be performed at CU during Homecoming

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville University's Theater Department and Town Hall Productions will be performing Dolly Parton's “9 to 5,” the musical, during Homecoming.

The show will be performed in the Russ Mobley Theater of the Alumni Building on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 10, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 12, at 2:30 p.m.

Dolly Parton's “9 to 5” was originally a movie in 1980. Dolly Parton turned “9 to 5” into an extremely successful musical in 2008. The story revolves around three women: Doralee, Violet and Judy and their journey as they try to overthrow their oppressive boss.

“It's been a lot of work and I've been extremely busy, but it's a good experience. I'm confident that it'll be a really great show and I encourage everyone to come see it,” Blair Lamb, who plays Judy, said.

The cast includes: Megan Kist of Elizabethtown, Ky., as Doralee; Alia McClendon of Radcliff, Ky., as Violet; Blair Lamb of Campbellsville, Ky., as Judy; Paige Pickerl of Wheaton, Ill. as Mari; Kelli Stanfield of Campbellsville, Ky., as Kathy; Lyndsey Hammers of Louisville, Ky., as Margaret; Sarah Durham of Campbellsville, Ky., as Roz; Megan Hill of Springfield, Ky., as Missy; Vanessa Vale of Campbellsville, Ky., as Julie; Victoria Hundley of Elizabethtown, Ky., as the Candy Striper; Nathan Cahall of Oneida, Ky., as Hart; Tyler Litton of Hodgenville, Ky., as Joe; Zach Wilson of Campbellsville, Ky., as Dick, an orderly; Michael Jennings of Edmonton, Ky., as Detective, Tinsworthy; Irell Patterson of Hopkinsville, Ky., as Dwayne; Cody Szymanel of Lorain, Ohio, as Doctor, Bob; and in the ensemble, Victoria Hundley of Elizabethtown, Ky.

General admission tickets are $10, seniors ages 65 and older are $7, children ages 12 and younger are $5, and Campbellsville University employee tickets are $2. The show is free to Campbellsville University students.
