CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Rain didn't stop Campbellsville University's 2014 Homecoming “Let the Good Times ROAR” as the Campbellsville University Tigers defeated the Georgetown College Tigers 28 to 24 on Citizens Bank Field at Finley Stadium. The Georgetown Tigers were undefeated coming into the game.
Katlin Weeks was crowned the Homecoming Queen, and many alumni returned home to see friends and former professors at their alma mater.
Weeks, a senior from Louisville, represented the Baptist Campus Ministry. She is a double major in Christian missions and political science.
First runner-up was Tiffani Ellington, who represented the Office of Admissions. She is a junior with a major in nursing. She's from Mayfield, Ky.
Second runner-up was Veronica Clark representing SWITCH (Social Workers in Touch Can Help), the Social Work Club. Se is a junior majoring in social work and is from Louisville.
The freshman attendant was Sarah Stults, a freshman from Hodgenville.
Randy Herron, a 1962 alumnus from Campbellsville, was given the Distinguished Alumni Award as was Reid Brown, a 1953 graduate from Marietta, Ga. Brown's wife, Annette, was presented an Honorary Alumna Award.
The International Studies Abroad won the float competition with Baptist Campus Ministry second and Social Workers in Touch Can Help.
