CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -The Campbellsville University Theater department will hold auditions for the upcoming spring production of William Shakespeare's, “Much Ado About Nothing,” Dec. 5-6 at the Russ Mobley Theater in the Alumni Building, located at 114 University Drive, Campbellsville.
The auditions will be separated into two parts, a monologue/song portion and a dance portion. The monologue/song portion of the audition will be held between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Students should come prepared with a one-minute audition piece, including a Shakespeare monologue (preferable from “Much Ado About Nothing”) and a song from the 1940s. However, a song is not required, but a prepared monologue is required.
The dance portion of the audition will begin at 9:30 p.m. at the Theater Studio (behind CVS). Students should wear comfortable clothing for this portion of the audition.
Callbacks will be held Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
For those interested in being a part of the crew, (set construction, lights, sound, hair/makeup, etc.) interviews will be held Dec. 4 at the Theater Office in the Alumni Building. Interviews are by appointment only. There will be a sign up sheet posted on the theater office door, as well as applications and job descriptions for the various crew assignments.
Auditions are open to all CU students and the Campbellsville community.
