CU String Chamber Ensemble to give concert

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The Campbellsville University String Chamber Ensemble will present its Spring Concert on Tuesday, April 9 at 8 p.m. in The Gheens Recital Hall of the Gosser Fine Arts Center.

The ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Robert Gaddis and graduate assistant, Leonardo Barros, will present a varied program of music including movie themes, English folk songs, Brazilian songs and classical literature from composers such as Mendelssohn, Holst, and Vivaldi.

The ensemble will also present a new composition by Seth Johnson, a graduate composition student at Campbellsville University.

Members of the ensemble include: Saelim Henderson of Campbellsville, violin; Constanza Boso Galli of Salta, Argentina, violin; Eun-ah Go of Busan, South Korea, violin; Ching Hao Lin of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, violin;

Guang Jin of Yan Ji, China, violin; Tayler Campbell of Hodgenville, Ky., violin; Caitlin Watson of Knifley, Ky., violin; Eun Sil Park of Busan, South Korea, violin; Katie Johnson of Leitchfield, Ky., viola;
Denis Santos of Ceara, Brazil, viola; Roger Davis of Campbellsville, viola;

Leonardo Barros of Rio de Janiero, Brazil; Seth Johnson of Leitchfield, cello; Gabriella Batista of Vitoria, Brazil, cello; Andrey Junca of Vitoria, Brazil, double bass; Danielle Batista of Recife, Brazil, piano; and Claudienne Barros of Rio de Janiero, piano.
