CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Both Campbellsville University's men's and women's basketball teams punched their tickets to the NAIA national tournament as the selection process took place on Wednesday, March 9.
A No. 8 national ranking has the Lady Tigers checking in as the At-Large No. 2 qualifying seed and a spot opposite Xavier (La.) at the 36th Annual NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship.
The Lady Tigers (25-7), which was Mid-South Conference regular-season and tournament runners-up, and Xavier (22-11), Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament champion, will play Wednesday, March 16 at 9:30 a.m. ET.
Tiger basketball moved back into the NAIA Top 25 for the final regular-season poll and CU also picked up the 12th at-large bid to the 79th Annual Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship.
No. 23 Campbellsville (22-10) will play the Sooner Athletic Conference Regular Season champion and 10th-ranked Texas Wesleyan University (24-7) on Thursday, March 17 at 10 a.m. ET.
All games of the tournament will be live on the Campbellsville University Sports Network, 88.7 The Tiger (www.wlcufm.com).
The first 30 games of the national championship will be video-streamed live on www.NAIANetwork.com, the NAIA's official video-streaming platform powered by Stretch Internet. The championship final will air on ESPN3 for the second-straight year.
