CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University's Office of Admissions held a drawing recently for a 32-inch flat-screen television as part of a marketing campaign, and the winner was Malcom Richardson of Campbellsville.
Richardson is a senior at Taylor County High School where he plays soccer and is enrolled in two dual credit classes each semester this year through Campbellsville University. He said he is considering CU and plans to major in both biology and chemistry at the college he chooses.
Richardson also has his private pilot's license and said he enjoys flying.
The marketing campaign reached over 9,100 students across the United States, which came from the Office of Admissions' prospective student database.
The students received a postcard informing them of CU's rankings with U.S.News&World Report and guiding them to a personalized Web site. The students were also asked to update their contact information and to answer specific questions about their academic and athletic interests, and whether or not they would consider attending a Christian university.
All the students who responded to the campaign were entered into the drawing for the television.
Registration for the fall 2008 semester is still open. For information, contact the Office of Admissions at (270) 789-5220 or admissions@campbellsville.edu. Classes begin Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 8 a.m.
