“DebateWatch” is a voter education program created by the Commission on Presidential Debates. During each debate, people all over the country will join together in homes, schools and libraries to learn more about the election and the issues surrounding it.
Dr. Wendy Benningfield, associate professor of history at Campbellsville University and faculty advisor for the Collegiate Historians, said that this is an important event that will help bring the campus and community together.
“We are holding the ‘DebateWatch' events because this is an historic election, and it is important that every voter be aware of the issues and the candidates' positions on them. I hope that everyone will join us to witness these significant debates,” she said.
