Chowning, pastor of Saloma Baptist Church in Taylor County, was introduced by the Rev. Matt Smyzer, Campbellsville University trustee who is pastor of Beargrass Missionary Baptist Church, and one of the GABKY vice moderators. The Rev. James Washington, pastor of New Zion Baptist Church in Adair County, opened the session with prayer.
