CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University will present Clay Smith, a CU alumnus and former adjunct instructor in music, in a voice recital of American Art Songs Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. in The Gheens Recital Hall.
The performance will feature songs by American composers Lee Hoiby, Samuel Barber and others. The event is free and open to the public.
Smith received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Campbellsville University in 2000 and 2001, respectively. He is a candidate for the doctor of music arts degree in vocal performance from Louisiana State University.
He has performed with the LSU Opera, Pensacola (Fla.) Opera and Project Opera of Manhattan. He has also performed with the Brooklyn (N.Y.) Family Theater and with “Stephen Foster, The Musical” in Bardstown, Ky.
Smith will be accompanied by Teresa Tedder, who received her undergraduate degree from CU in 1999 and her master's from CU in 2000.
