CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - “Igniting America, Advancing the Kingdom!” is the theme of Ignite America, which is being hosted by Campbellsville University Thursday-Sunday, Aug. 4-7 in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.
This is the second year for the event on Campbellsville University's campus.
Ignite America's message is that Jesus Christ is the foundation, inspiration, hope and joy of life. Ignite places an emphasis that Christ is worshiped at Ignite in an environment that welcomes freedom of expression honoring the Holy Trinity while connecting those in attendance under the Lord's love.
The attendees of Ignite America came from many different backgrounds, not only in terms of age and geographical location, but also in denominational backgrounds as well.
Jerry and Judy Ball, founders of Ignite America with Breaker of Dawn Ministries International, will be among the speakers.
Thursday night speakers include: Eric Gilbert, pastor of 3trees Church, and llinda Jackson, pastor of the Secret Place Community Church. The evening session begins at 7 p.m. in Ransdell Chapel.
Friday speakers are: Clinton Scroggins, who serves on the Ignite America leadership team; Sharon Gilbert, board member of Breaker of Dawn Ministries; Joe Salzano, professional musician and composer, who will be the worship leader;
Susan Michael, pioneer in the development of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ); George Michael, well-known consultant for the Department of Defense and the State Department; Daniel Piedra Soto, president and founder of Mission Levite Ministries; and Mark and Patty Scrivener, members of World Ministry Fellowship.
Saturday speakers will be: Brian Barcelona, founder of One Voice; Mark Bristow, pastor of Grace Fellowship in Monahans, Texas, and of Parker Heights Christian in Odessa, Texas; Claren and Nancy McQueen, who serve around the world involved with the Jerusalem Center for Biblical Studies and International Christian Embassy and who will be worship leaders; and Maj. Gen. Doug Carver, director of chaplaincy with the North American Mission Board.
Sunday speakers are Jamie Lawrence, Campbellsville University church outreach pastor, and Jerry and Judy Ball, founders of Breaker of Dawn Ministries International, Ignite Ivy and Ignite America.
Over the four-day conference, several sessions will be held on the campus of Campbellsville University including topics such as revival on high school campuses, the Father's blessing, spiritual revolutionaries, releasing the sound for transformation and more.
The schedule begins at 1 p.m. Aug. 4 and concludes following the evening session which begins at 7 p.m. On Friday, Aug. 5 and Saturday, Aug. 6, the schedule begins at 8 a.m. with breakfast and the first session begins at 9 a.m. with sessions throughout the day with the evening session beginning at 7 p.m. The Sunday, Aug. 7 session begins with breakfast at 8 a.m. with a 9 a.m. final session which ends by 1 p.m.
The conference for regular non-local attendees is $200. Local participants are $25, and local students, high school and college students with student ID, are admitted free.
