CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville University athletics is on a mission to share the love of Jesus Christ and its next step is partnering with the most awarded female vocalist in the history of contemporary Christian music.
Director of athletics Rusty Hollingsworth and assistant director of athletics Jim Hardy have announced an once-in-a-lifetime concert with vocalist Sandi Patty. The benefit is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 19, at 8 p.m. ET in the Ransdell Chapel on the campus of Campbellsville University.
All proceeds from the event will go to a fund for CU athletics mission trips.
Sandi Patty has collected 40 Dove awards, five Grammy awards, four Billboard Music awards, three platinum records, five gold records and 11 million units sold.
She was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2004 and as an “Indiana Living Legend” in 2007.
Only 800 tickets are on sale with general admission starting at $25. VIP tickets are being sold at $50. Group rates are also available.

Last year, events similar to this allowed a group of 31 coaches, staff, student-athletes and CU supporters to take a mission trip to San Jose, Costa Rica. The group ran sport clinics, fed the homeless, visited orphanages and shared the love of Jesus Christ to the people of Costa Rica.
