By Simon Baker, student news writer, Office of University Communications CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University's School of Music will present the annual Christmas Tapestry Friday, Dec. 2, in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, Ky.
There will be two productions of the tapestry, one at 10 a.m. and the other at 7 p.m.
Tickets are free, and the event is open to the public.
Performers will include Campbellsville University students, faculty, staff and alumni performing a wide variety of popular Christmas songs.
Dr. Tony Cunha, dean of the School of Music and professor of music at Campbellsville University, said, “Music students, faculty, and staff have spent many hours working on rehearsals and preparations for this year's Christmas Tapestry.
“We look forward to sharing our music with everyone attending the performances that day.”
Cunha said the following ensembles and choirs will perform the following during the tapestry:
Jazz Band—It Came Upon a Midnight Clear
CU National Association for Music Education (NAfME) Ensemble—A Marshmallow World (with “The Candy Man”)
Saxophone Ensemble and Combo—Christmas Time Is Here
Women's Choir—Gettin' in the Mood (For Christmas)
Bluegrass Ensemble—Go Tell It on the Mountain
Flute & Clarinet Ensembles—Deck the Hall
Faculty Combo—Jingle Bells
