HARRODSBURG, Ky. - Campbellsville University President Michael V. Carter will make several major capital and program expansion announcements at a ribbon cutting and grand opening for the second building at the Conover Education Center Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 12:30 p.m. at 1150 Danville Road, Harrodsburg, Ky.
The new 4,500-square-foot building will include more classroom space, offices and a multipurpose chapel.
Carter will announce plans for the expansion in excess of $5 million, including multiple capital projects and expanded academic plans.
“I see this center as a hope center - a place where hope is installed and dreams can come true,” Carter has said.
Wes Carter, executive director of university outreach for the university, said the university would not grow without Harrodsburg's support. The Conover Education Center continues to grow as students study undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs, such as allied health, cosmetology and welding.
There will also be a Valentine's Day luncheon Feb. 9 to raise money for scholarships.
“The grand opening ceremony and Valentine's Day scholarship luncheon are great opportunities to learn about what we do and get involved with our vision for the future,” Carter said.
