CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University President Dr. Michael V. Carter is joining other leaders in calling for a time of prayer for our country.
Carter has issued this statement:
“As people of faith, we are called to stand for justice and equity for all people. Violence has no place in our country - whether perpetrated against individual black Americans or by groups acting against civil authority.
“At Campbellsville University, we affirm the value and worth of all people and are committed to providing Christian higher education to prepare servant leaders who will seek to ‘act justly…love mercy…and walk humbly' with God (Micah 6:8).
“We call upon all people of faith and goodwill to join in a time of prayer for peace, justice and reconciliation in our country.”
