CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University's Pence-Chowning Art Gallery schedule has been released for the 2016-17 academic year.
The art gallery is located at 205 University Drive, Campbellsville, Ky. The times it is open will be determined when students return in August. Students keep the gallery open based on their class schedules.
The season begins Aug. 30 with a guest exhibit by Marianna McDonald who will show watercolors. The exhibit runs through Sept. 16.
Tori Christgen will show printmaking in an exhibit from Sept. 19 through Oct. 2.
The Homecoming art exhibit will feature Eric Hurtgen, who graduated from Campbellsville University in 1999.
On Oct. 24, Georgann Schellenger will have a guest exhibit with fiber. It runs through Nov. 11.
Senior exhibits will run Nov. 14 through Dec. 2 and Dec. 5 through Dec. 15. Graduating seniors are Katelyn Roby of Campbellsville who will receive an art area, and Cory Cundiff of Springfield, Ky. who will graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
The spring 2017 semester will begin with the annual faculty exhibit that will run three weeks Jan. 17, 2017 through Feb. 3, 2017.
Matthew Gaddie and Brian Somerville will show ceramics and ceramic sculpture, respectively, Feb. 6-24.
Senior exhibits will be Feb. 27-March 10, March 20-31 and April 3-18. Graduating seniors are Chelsea Adams of Hodgenville, Ky., with a Bachelor of Science with an Art Area; and Sarah Smith of Brownsville, Texas; Kasey Kruczek of Easton, Penn.; and Ben Gaona of Campbellsville, who will all receive Bachelor of Fine Arts Degrees.
The last show of the academic year is the Annual Juried Student Exhibit that runs April 20 through May 11.
