CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University surpassed 1,000 fully-online students Aug. 22 for the first time in the university's history.
Dr. Shane Garrison, vice president for enrollment services, said the university had 1,002 fully-online students as of Aug. 22, but he suspects the number will go higher over the next few days.
Of the 1,002 students, there are 392 fully-online undergraduate students and 610 graduate students.
“This is another key benchmark and milestone in our online education platform,” Garrison said.
He said the trending enrollment is going toward 325 new, fully-online students starting in the fall.
Garrison said the university's largest undergraduate online program is the Bachelor of Social Work with 119 students. The largest graduate online program is the Master of Social Work with 300 students.
Campbellsville University's Vision 2025 goal is to have 60 fully-online programs and 3,500 fully-online students.
Josh Fuqua, director of online enrollment, said, “Campbellsville University's online program crossing the 1,000-student threshold is a huge accomplishment. It would not have been possible without our faculty, our administration, and of course, our students.
“While we are excited to have finally reached this milestone, we are continuing our reach and will continue to offer and develop new and exciting online programs.”
Evening classes begin at Campbellsville University Monday, Aug. 28 with day classes beginning Tuesday, Aug. 29.
