CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University's campus radio station, WLCU-FM, 88.7 The Tiger, has a new local morning show with host student Ashley Pennington.
The show, titled “Wake-Up Call,” features Pennington, a sophomore from Science Hill, Ky., who will host from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. Monday-Friday. She began her show Sept. 17.
“It's exciting to see continued growth in our broadcasting program and students,” according to Matt Payton, radio program/production director.
“Ashley has earned this opportunity in a short amount of time. I believe that says a lot about her as a student and person. She's quick witted, sarcastic and, at times, dry, which makes for an interesting combo. Mornings should be very interesting this fall on 88.7,” he said.
Pennington is the third student morning show host for 88.7 The Tiger. Her new morning
show will include campus and community events, sports and more.
You can listen to “Wake-Up Call” online at WLCUFM.com.
