Campbellsville University chapel series open to the public

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University's Chapel Series for fall semester 2018 has been announced, according to Ed Pavy, director of campus ministries at the university.

All chapels are free and open to the public each Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Ransdell Chapel at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations, Pavy said.

All chapel programs are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10 and digital channel 23.0) and are streamed live on the internet at wlcutv.com.

“Jesus: Our Hope” is the theme for the semester taken from 1 Peter 1:3-6.

The schedule of speakers for the semester include: Aug. 22, Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University, who is beginning his 20th year as president;

Aug. 29, Lonnie Riley of Meridzo Ministries; Sept. 5, Heritage Day with Ginny Flanagan, 1965 alumna and special assistant to the president; Sept. 12, Rick Gage, evangelist and founder of Go Tell Ministries;

Sept. 19, Campus Safety Month, Scott O'Brien, APB Consulting Solutions; Sept. 26, Brian Kiser, voluntary counselor at Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, promoting biblical parenting at Jordan Baptist Convention, for Missions Week;

Oct. 3, Dr. James Perkins, president of Progressive National Baptist Convention, Dialogue on Race speaker; Oct. 10, Dr. Linda McKinnish Bridges, president of Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, Va.; Oct. 17, the Rev. Chris Clarke, CU alumnus and “Cowboy Preacher,”

Oct. 24, Student-led chapel, Baptist Campus Ministry Week; Oct. 31, International Education Week;

Nov. 7, Campbellsville University Jazz Band; Nov. 14, Thanksgiving service with Dr. Nath'l Moore, pastor of First African Baptist Church, Lexington, Ky., coordinated by the Robertson Worship Committee; and Nov. 28, “CU Family Christmas.”
