CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University's Chapel Series for spring semester 2019 has been announced, according to Ed Pavy, director of campus ministries at the university.
All chapels are free and open to the public each Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Ransdell Chapel at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.
Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations, Pavy said.
All chapel programs are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10 and digital channel 23.0) and are streamed live on the internet at wlcutv.com.
“Jesus: Our Hope” is the theme for the semester taken from 1 Peter 1:3-6.
The schedule of speakers for the semester include: Jan. 9, senior staff of the university;
Jan. 16, Wesley Paul, founder and director, Wesley Paul International Ministries; Jan. 23, Martin Luther King Jr. Chapel Service featuring Dr. F. Bruce Williams, senior pastor at Bates Memorial Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky.; and Jan. 30, Darrell Locke, associate professor of social work at Campbellsville University;
Feb. 6, Dr. Ellen DiGiosia, Center for Biblical Equality speaker, pastor of First Baptist Church, Jefferson City, Tenn.; Feb. 13, Dr. Billy Compton, who attended Campbellsville College in 1962, and pastor of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church; Feb. 20, Black History Month Chapel Service, Dr. Gerald Smith, professor of history at University of Kentucky; and Feb. 27, Liz Encinia, executive director-treasurer, Kentucky Women's Missionary Union;
