CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University will hold a “100 Strong” Celebration Thursday, May 3 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Stapp Lawn.
The celebration will include picnic-style foods, T-shirts, games and giveaways. Everyone is invited.
The event will be held in honor of the Schools of Cosmetology and Barbering reaching 100 students. This is over a 180 percent growth in the number of students enrolled in these programs over the past five years.
Campbellsville University has five locations across the Commonwealth of Kentucky offering cosmetology and barbering educational programs. Across all locations, the Schools of Cosmetology and Barbering have reached enrollment exceeding 100 students - thus the “100 Strong” theme.
Beginning in 2013 in Campbellsville, CU launched the first School of Cosmetology with 30 students. Over the next few years, CU opened locations in Hodgenville, Harrodsburg and Somerset. In 2017, CU added the first School of Barbering location in Campbellsville.
On April 10, CU opened a second location of the School of Barbering in Somerset. Additionally, CU has started construction to add another School of Cosmetology in the Louisville East location in Jeffersontown.
