Her drawings depict the ideas and themes behind her sculptures.A couple of her original medals and smaller sculptures will be on display, thanks to generous local collectors and friends.

Hodoroabă uses the “Doina” concept as center of her work. “The ‘Doina' concept is central to my work,” Hodoroabă said.

“It is an ancient Romanian view of love and connection with nature.I work exclusively in stone, leaving parts untreated: some polished and some unpolished. I consciously make use of colorful marble, granite and soapstone. In this way, I can write my ‘language' on my stones and in a sense, I could also describe it as painting iLina Hodoroabă of Hollandn stone. My medals have also been done in the same way. For me, they are ‘letters' with which I write my dairy about another world and the thoughts which I have.”

She creates a contrast in her sculptures through natural preservation. The areas she works on are polished and smoothed to perfection, whereas other parts are left in its original, from nature given rough form.
