CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -Dr. Albert Reyes, president and CEO of Buckner International, will speak to Campbellsville University students, faculty and staff on Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. chapel in Ransdell Chapel.
He has served as president and CEO since 2012, before this he was the president of Buckner Children and Family Services. Buckner International is a faith- based, global nonprofit organization that was founded in 1879.
He was previously the president of Baptist University of the Americas, the manager of Sprint's National Customer Service Call Center and a pastor at three churches.
Reyes studied at Angelo State University where he got his bachelor of business administration in management. After completing his undergraduate degree, he went to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to get a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry in Missiology. The last degree he obtained was a doctor of philosophy in global leadership from Andrews University.
He is married to Dr. Belinda Alvarado Reyes, and they have three children, Joshua, David and Thomas.
He and his wife live in Dallas, Texas where they are members of Park Cities Baptist Church.
In the last four years he has published two books, “The Jesus Agenda: Becoming an Agent of Redemption” and “Hope Now: Peace, Healing, and Justice when the Kingdom Comes Near.”
Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.
