CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Alejandro Rosner, a senior at Campbellsville University from Venezuela, will be hosting his senior show at The Pence-Chowning Art Gallery at 205 University Drive, Campbellsville, through March 2. Some of the work that will be shown is drawings, paintings, graphics and 3-D designs.
Rosner attended high school in Caracas, Venezuela. He is anticipated to graduate in May with a bachelor of science degree with a major in art with graphic design with a minor in marketing.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
“For my senior show I picked the best projects that I did during my four years studying at Campbellsville University. In some of them you can really see the difference of how I improved all my skills during the past years and also how I see the art world now.
“Something that I believe is a strong characteristic in my work is the colors. I always like the warm colors like red, orange, and yellow because these remind me of where I came from. As one of the few international students in the art building, I feel really proud of all my colorful artwork that I did in honor for my country ‘Venezuela,'” Rosner said.
Rosner thanks those who helped him during his art career. “It really makes me happy every time that somebody comes to me and says: ‘WOW that looks awesome' or ‘How did you do that; that looks amazing.' Those comments are the ones that makes me feel that I am on the right track.”
