CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -Campbellsville University will host the 13th edition of the Derby Rose Gala at Swan's Landing, 2930 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, Ky., Friday, April 21.
A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., with dinner to follow at 6 p.m.
Cost to attend is $125 per person, with $90 of the ticket cost going toward a gift credit to the scholarship fund, which is tax-deductible.

Taylor County Bank is the event sponsor, having given $10,000 toward this year's Gala.

The university's Advancement Board started the Derby Rose Gala in 2009 to focus on providing Campbellsville University students with scholarship money to pursue their education.
Since its inception, the Gala has raised more than $450,000 toward scholarship money.
“Through the efforts of the Advancement Board, many deserving students have received a scholarship from the dollars raised through this event,” Dr. Benji Kelly, vice president for development, said.
At each year's Gala, Campbellsville University students who have benefited from scholarship money raised by the Gala have the opportunity to share their testimony. This year, two students will speak on how the Derby Rose Gala has enabled them to attend Campbellsville University.
Kentucky Heart and the Faculty String Quartet will be the featured musicians at this year's Derby Rose Gala.
“It will be a lovely evening at Swan's Landing as we continue to provide scholarships for deserving students,” Suzanne Hopkins, first lady of Campbellsville University, said. “The chair, Gwinn Thompson, has led this important scholarship initiative since it began in 2009.”
Betty Hord and Yvette Haskins also serve on the Derby Rose Gala committee.
