CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Dr. Walter Crouch, vice president for church relations and the director of the Norton Institute for Congregational Health at Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn., will speak at Campbellsville University's chapel/convocation at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28 at the Ransdell Chapel.
The address is free and open to the public.
Crouch has served at Carson-Newman since 1998 when he became an assistant professor, teaching Old and New Testament, and other Christian studies classes. He remains a professor today.
Crouch became a vice president and director of the Norton Institute in 2002. He also serves as faculty sponsor of several organizations including the C-N Student Ministerial Association and the American-Israeli Alliance.
He has served as pastor of First Baptist Church-Elm Mott in Waco, Texas from 1991 to 1996 and was senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Weslaco, Texas from 1996 to 1998. He was also youth minister at Leawood Baptist Church in West Palm Beach, Fla. from 1979 to 1991 and owned a construction firm, Crouch Construction Company from 1979 to 1988.
He serves as a seminar leader for Team Concepts, conducting seminars for business and church in the areas of team building, relationship strengthening, vision casting and conflict resolution strategies.
He also serves as interim pastor of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City in Knoxville, Tenn., since 2006. He also has served as interim pastor of several other churches in Tennessee and has taught at Baylor University.
He has had several publications published and delivered several scholarly presentations.
Crouch received the Ally of the Year Award given by the American-Israeli Public Affairs Committee in Washington, D.C. in 2007.
He is married to Pamela Ann Mercer Crouch; they have three children: Misty Dawn Parr, Tabitha Tiffany Kesterson and Dallas Daniel Christian Crouch, and two adopted children, Ashley Grace-Ann Crouch and Aidan Thomas Crouch.
Chapel/convocation is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through of a variety of informative speakers and presentations.
