Artist-in-Residence
Nathaniel Hendrickson works as an interdisciplinary artist, painter, curator, documentary
filmmaker and freelance producer from Louisville, KY. Their work explores the edge
of performance and visual art and has worked on collaborated projects internationally
with the Open Program of the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski (Italy/Turkey/Lebanon/USA);
Hyunji Park (Korea/Finland); Gianluigi Biagini (Finland/Italy); Camille Freychet (France/Belgium);
and Meltem Chumbul (Turkey). Henrickson’s current work focuses on the ecological crisis,
human perception and the metamorphic sublime.
Most recently, Henrickson served as Drawing and Painting faculty in the second session
of the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts at the University of Kentucky, and
was a co-facilitator of an 8-week workshop on sustainable practices in art at the
Royal Conservatory of Liege in Belgium.
Henrickson holds an MFA from Florida State University in Studio Art and will serve
at Campbellsville University as the Art & Design Artist-in-Residence where they will
teach the general education courses in-seat and online, imbed into the studio courses
through critiques and workshops, and work on interdisciplinary projects or workshops
in other departments campus-wide.
