The Pence-Chowning Art Gallery is open Monday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.; and Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A reception will be Friday, March 22 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Martini came to the U.S. in January 2010 to learn English and get her bachelor's degree. After six months, she learned English and began university studies in fall 2010.

Martini said, “I used to doodle as a kid, but never took classes.” She said, her drawings were always disproportioned and the portraits never looked like whom she was drawing. She decided to pursue a degree in art anyway.

Martini said, “When I had my first art class, I was afraid of not doing well in it, but after my first few projects, I realized I enjoyed what I was doing.”

Her favorite projects are three-dimensional projects because she believes it expresses her outgoing personality.

Martini said, “I not only realized God blessed me with such a talent, but also how attached, involved and in love I am with His creation. Nature is God's beauty and my biggest inspiration.”

This exhibit will include two-dimensional works such as: paintings, drawings, design and photography. Also, three-dimensional works including: ceramic bowls, cups, and shows and assemblage pieces.

Martini's work appeared in the 2012 student art show.
