DPI to Feature Lonnie Turner and Dr. John Mark Toby

CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY DIALOGUE ON PUBLIC ISSUES PROGRAM TO FEATURE LONNIE TURNER AND DR. JOHN MARK TOBY

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University's “Dialogue on Public Issues” will feature Lonnie Turner, a CU graduate who is a field personnel for Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, and Dr. John Mark Toby, president of the Kentucky Baptist Convention and pastor of Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Somerset, Ky., for shows during the next two weeks.

            Turner's show will air Sunday, Monday and Wednesday, Sept. 13, 14 and 16, on TV-4, Comcast Cable Channel 10.
            The show with Turner, who is interviewed by John Chowning, vice president for church and external relations and executive assistant to the president, will air Sunday, Sept. 13 at 8 a.m.; Monday, Sept. 14, at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

             Turner is in Zambia where he has served since the 1970s. The interview will feature his work, along with his wife, Fran Turner. Fran Turner found out the largest needs in the area is fresh water. A well costs $2,000, and the Turners are active in securing wells in the area.

            Toby's show will air Sunday, Sept. 20 at 8 a.m.; Monday, Sept. 21, at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

            Toby spoke concerning Baptist issues and his role as pastor of Beacon Hill Baptist Church and president of the KBC.
