CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY THEATER WILL PERFORM ‘SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN'

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University's theater department will take a trip back in time to the year 1938 when it performs “Smoke on the Mountain” March 27 at 7 p.m., March 28 at 3 p.m. and March 29 at 7 p.m..
Travel to Mount Pleasant, N.C., and join the Sanders Family and Reverend Oglethorpe for an “upliftin' good time.”
Cast members include Erin Johnson of Russellville, Ky.; Farrin Marlow and Lyda Adcock of Campbellsville, Ky.; Aubrey Skutt and Matt Hodge of Louisville, Ky.; Kaylynn Best, Kelsey Best and Phillip Carlisle of Harrodsburg, Ky.;
Megan Massey of Science Hill, Ky.; Melody Hall of Rockfield, Ky.; Edwina Rowell of Guston, Ky.; Reyn Judd of Greensburg, Ky.; Rob Collins of Columbia, Ky.; and Kiel Thorlton of Auburn, Ky.
“We have a great cast and crew that are working really hard to make this musical production a success,” said Erica Moon, assistant to the director of theater.
“This show has good gospel music that people are sure to recognize and enjoy. It's a funny and entertaining show for all ages,” Moon said.
Moon will be production manager, Dr. Frieda Gebert, associate professor of music at CU, will be directing the show, and Starr Garrett, instructor in theater and director of the theater program at CU, will be the artistic director.
General admission tickets will be sold for $5, CU employee tickets will be $1, and CU student tickets are free. Chapel credit will be available for attending students.
