The Cincinnati Police Department will be currently accepting applications for the position of Police Recruit beginning May 1, 2023 until June 24, 2023. Along with health benefits which begin at day one, the pay rate while attending the Academy is $25.00 per hour. Upon successful completion of the Police Academy curriculum and graduation from the Police Academy there is a $2,000 bonus. Police Recruits will then be promoted to Police Officer with a salary between $70,566.79, and $84,389.55 annually after five years (depending on shift and overtime).
