Studio Operator (Part-Time, Nights/Weekends)
Going to college and need a job with a schedule that complements your school schedule? Looking for a second job or just wanting to get your foot in the door to a media career? WPSD-TV has an immediate opening for part-time Studio Operator.
Intrigued? Here is what you’ll be doing:
Prepare studio and act as Floor Director for live newscasts and recording sessions. Train for Master Control operation to monitor programming, run automation software, ingest programming and commercials and fill out programming logs.
Perform light janitorial duties as assigned. Work schedule fluctuates, based on needs of programming and newscasts, but mostly weeknights and weekend newscasts.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record. Must have good eyesight, hearing, clear speech and the ability to work on ladders and able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

News Producer
WPSD LOCAL 6, the dominant legacy NBC affiliate in Paducah, Kentucky (84th DMA), requires a dynamic writer with solid news judgment who can become a leader in our newsroom. You must have a flair for production values, showcasing meaningful breaking news, live elements, social/interactive media platforms, and vibrant graphics to tell compelling news stories. You also love helping reporters craft extraordinary work. If you are on the road to news management, this is where it starts. Previous experience as a producer preferred. We will consider entry level candidates. We have two open spots. The right candidate can move into a Monday-Friday prime newscast.

Commercial/Promotions Producer
All you need to qualify are creativity and familiarity with making effective videos!
This position will work directly with both local/regional advertising clients and the award-winning WPSD News team producing promotions across the WPSD platform.
You will work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with limitless opportunities to expand your creativity while strengthening the team within the top-rated NBC affiliate serving four states!

What we look for is a self-motivated applicant with a positive team attitude! Formal education or military-based experience in video editing is preferred, but not required if you’re the perfect fit for our team! If you have experience in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or any video editing software, this will be a perfect position for you. Be organized and have a semi-flexible schedule to fit the needs of productions. Some daytime travel is required and will only increase your chances to expand your creative thoughts to make your productions come to life and ensure your success!
