Division: Behavioral Health Equity, Healthy Babies Louisville Coordinator, Suicide Prevention
Essential Functions:
- Provides technical assistance, consultation, education and instruction to staff and the community
- Monitors, tracks, documents and evaluates public health prevention and wellness programs, activities and operations and compiles data for report development
- Compiles and analyzes data; conducts research, policy and program analysis; and prepares, drafts and generates reports
- Develops and conducts community health programs and coordinates projects with internal and external partners and service providers
- Develops partnerships and strategies with community agencies and serves as liaison to the department

UNDER ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISION
- Devises strategies for improved service delivery and communicates with community agencies to solve problems
- Monitors service provider performance for compliance with program standards
- Evaluates service provider programs for effectiveness, and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency, services and performance
- Completes special projects, and prepares reports
- Develops and maintains a data collection system to monitor, evaluate and report program progress toward achievement of project goals and objectives
- Researches, designs, oversees and analyzes public health program data and policies
- Reviews legislation, regulations and directives, and recommends modifications to departmental programs
- Identifies strategic programmatic and scientific areas in need of strengthening and new areas for development
- Evaluates programs and measures program outcomes
- Performs related work
Minimum Requirements
Physical Requirement & Working Conditions:
Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Community Health
- Epidemiology
- Health Administration
- Public Health
- Social Science with Research Concentration
Related field - One year of health program policy planning and evaluation experience
Other Minimums:
Must provide one’s own source of transportation
Must work a varied schedule
Equivalency:
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
KSA’s:
Knowledge of public health principles
Knowledge of health equity frameworks, effective policy and practice implementation to reduce health inequities
Knowledge of research methods and evaluation including the ability to design, conduct, analyze and convey findings
