Campbellsville University to Present ‘Christmas Tapestry’ Dec. 1

By Joan C. McKinney, director of university communications

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University School of Music will present its third annual “Christmas Tapestry” Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. at Campbellsville Baptist Church.
The concert will feature a wide variety of the school’s ensembles performing secular and sacred music of the season.

The Jazz Ensemble, the University Orchestra, the Chamber Choir, Concert Chorus and University Chorale will be featured, as well as several other smaller ensembles.

“The concert is a favorite for many in the community and attendance has been quite high in the past, so plan to arrive early,” according to Dr. Frieda Gebert, associate professor of music (vocal/choral) and associate dean of the School of Music.

She said the starting time for the concert has been moved to 7 p.m. to make it easier for families to bring younger members to enjoy the music, too.

“Admission is free so bring the whole family to Campbellsville Baptist Church on Dec. 1, and get in the Christmas spirit!,” she said.

For more information about “Christmas Tapestry” call the School of Music office at (270) 789-5237.
