CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University has named two of its own – Dr. Madison Duncan and Dr. Josh Switzer – as Assistant Deans in the School of Business, Economics and Technology (SoBET).
Duncan has been named Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs and Assistant Professor of Management, and Switzer will serve as Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs and Assistant Professor of Management.
In their respective roles, Duncan and Switzer will be responsible for servant leadership, strategic oversight and direction of all School of Business, Economics and Technology programs within their areas. They will advise and collaborate with Dr. Preston Jones, Interim Dean for the School of Business, Economics and Technology at CU, to help achieve the vision, mission and strategic plan for the School of Business, Economics and Technology.
“Dr. Duncan and Dr. Switzer are uniquely qualified for their new roles,” Jones said. “They have demonstrated passion for academic excellence and are committed to helping us achieve Foundations for the Future (the university’s current strategic plan).

Duncan has served at Campbellsville University since June 2018. She previously served as Director of Business Outcomes Assessment, Planning, and Advising, overseeing assessments in compliance with the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Duncan also oversaw the strategic plan and advising efforts within the SoBET.
She was also the Master of Business Administration Main Campus Coordinator, where she aided and advised graduate students within the SoBET on Main Campus programs. Duncan serves on several committees within SoBET and the University, including the Advising Committee, Strategic Planning Committee and Action Plan Committee.
“The School of Business, Economics and Technology faculty, staff and students are near and dear to my heart, and I am honored to get to serve in this position,” Duncan said. “I look forward to serving as the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs within the School of Business, Economics and Technology.

Duncan is a three-time graduate of Campbellsville University. In 2018, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management, and in 2019, she received a Master of Business Administration in Marketing. Duncan also holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Cyber Technology Management Specialization, which she received in May 2023.
Prior to joining Campbellsville University, Duncan worked as a Marketing Manager and Graphic Designer for Gaddco Group, Inc., a graphic design company based in Campbellsville. She has also worked as a marketing intern for South Central Bank in Glasgow. Duncan also owns her own graphic design company, M. Duncan Designs, LLC.
Switzer has served at Campbellsville University since July 2018. In 2019, Switzer joined Dr. H. Keith Spears, 11thpresident and former chancellor for Campbellsville University, as special project manager. In that role, Switzer assisted in the administrative support and development of strategic direction for the University’s Graduate Business Programs and led the successful development of international partnerships and program collaborations for the university.
Most recently, Switzer served as Assistant Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, where he led presidential initiatives, including the restructuring of the CU Marketing and Communications department. In 2022, Switzer served as a member of the leadership team for the development of the Campbellsville University strategic plan, Foundations for the Future. Switzer also serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet, Diversity Policy Committee and Administrative Council. Previously, Switzer worked as Executive Director of the Economic Development Authority of Liberty and Casey County and as Director of the Liberty/Casey County Chamber of Commerce.

Switzer received his Bachelor of University Studies from Morehead State University in 2018, his Master of Business Administration in International Business from Campbellsville University in 2020 and his Doctor of Philosophy in Management with Leadership Concentration, also from Campbellsville University, in 2023.
